Call Of Duty: World At War is the latest installment in the series; Call Of Duty, developed by Treyarch, (Call of Duty: United Offensive) using the same technology as Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.

Featuring battles in both the Pacific and European Theatres of War, with "an enemy, who knows no surrender and no retreat, will fight to the last breath, unleashing an arsenal of lethal surprising tactics."

Including the new Single Player ranking and perk system, previously available only in the COD4 Multiplayer, and the all new Co-operative campaign mode. Also, all new weapons, including the much wanted return of the flamethrower, and even Vehicle Mounted weaponry. One new feature is the addition of a destructable environment - the flamethrower can set fire to dry grass which then spreads. Whether or not setting fire to someone would have the same effect or not remains to be seen.

Also, swimming, or at least wading, is an option for the game, part of the Single player. By the looks of it, you won't be able to fire your weapon while wading, or as accurately, due to holding your weapon above the water.
