Katana

A Katana is an ancient type of sword, originally used by Japanese Samurai. As such, it holds a special place in Japanese military history, and is still carried by officers of the Japanese Imperial Army. In CoD:WaW, the Japanese officer in the opening scene uses a katana to execute an American prisoner, before American special forces burst and rescue the player from the same fate.
