Call of Duty 4
The silencer gives the weapon equipped with it a quieter sound when fired. It also makes the player invisible on the radar when the player fires their weapon and a reduced muzzle flash, but gives the weapon a decreased range. It is only available for SMGs, assault rifles, and pistols. It is unlocked for SMGs and assault rifles after the player obtains 75 kills with that particular weapon. It is available for pistols from the beginning. The Desert Eagle is the only pistol that cannot be equipped with a silencer.
